Crazy!

I had a bath last night, and for some reason this made me totally wired! After my baths, I love to sit out on the patio and dry off in the nice, summer sun but it was already dark out! So what did I do? I ran like crazy around the house, up on the table, on the couch, over my owners who were watching TV -- I ran like crazy! ...then I passed out, fast asleep, on the rocking chair.

FLEAS.

Oh, please tell me it's not true! I have FLEAS. And, oh boy, are they driving me nuts. I can't stop itching and scratching. My family washed all of my things and gave me medicine to make me better. It didn't work. My family also gave me a great, big bone to make me feel better. That actually worked more! But, once I got done chewing, I remembered my pesky little fleas.

Hot Fun In The Summertime!

So, picture this: Ninety-eight degrees out in good old South Florida; the weather is humid and my tongue is hanging out of the side of my mouth while I down a ton of water from my dish. Now, I normally am not too big on the water but I tried it again the other day and realized it kept me feeling cool despite the horrible heatwave that summer brought! My owners were all splish-splashing around in the pool and I deeply considered joining them. I rolled my Kong around the patio floor, trying to make up my mind about jumping in or staying dry. I eventually sucked it up and came in via the steps in the shallow end. My owners were laughing at me because I'm like a cat when it comes to water! One of my owner-sisters, Lindsay, picked me up and carried me into the middle of the pool. It was so relaxing! I paddled all the way back to the steps, and then back to where my owners were again! Summer really isn't that bad! Infact, I'm sort of having fun!

Swimming like a fishie!

It was 105 degrees here in South Florida yesterday! Can you believe it? I sure couldn't. I was panting like crazy and my water bowl had to keep being filled up! Finally, one of my owners decided she's home from college to enjoy the summer, so she went in the pool. Now, I usually like the steps but I hate going in -- only, yesterday was different! I just jumped in that pool and swam around with my owner and enjoyed cooling off! It was so nice! We swam for a little bit and then she had to give me a bath to get off that icky stuff she calls "chlorine." She told me I was such a good swimmer -- I'm always really wimpy about swimming off of the steps. Once, I even jumped in and swam all the way to the deepend and back -- she thinks I got lost, but I was really just exploring. I swear! Now I know why those fishies in the tank are always swimming around -- it's so fun!

I hate cats. I H-A-T-E C-A-T-S.

So, my family thought all my little life was lacking was a cat! A stupid, little, whiney cat! Don't they know I'm already attached at the hip with Schubert the guinea pig?! What would I need another friend for?!

Okay, to be fair, when they first brought Landon home, I really could care less. She wasn't that annoying then and my family still spoiled and played with me as much as before. Then, she went into what my family calls "heat." Boy, that cat does NOT shut up. For the past week, she's been keeping me up with that annoying "meowing." Who meows, anyway? Schubert the guinea pig doesn't even make any noise. That's why I love to cuddle with him!

Then, get this, Landon the cat thinks she can come into my room and eat MY food! Oh, I don't think so. Of course, I got her back and ate some of her food. She just meowed some more. I swear, that cat doesn't shut up! I just can't wait until my sister and her boyfriend take Landon back to college with them. I will not miss that cat! Nope, not one bit, not at all.

YAWN!

Oh, my owners have been very busy filming a T.V. show and I have been feeling very bored all week! I sure don't like it when I have to be around that darn cat all day, and no people! I sure do love people. Sometimes my mommy says she thinks that I think I am a person. I always want to lay on the couch with my owners or sleep in a bed! And not just a dog bed, but I real person bed! They're so much more comfortable! My mommy loves me so much. She just got two big pictures of me hung up on the wall. I like to stare at them...I'm pretty cute if I do say so myself!

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it!

One of my owners, my people-sister, is home from college! I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks! When she comes home, I get so excited that I pee all over the floor! That doesn't make mom very happy, though!

My people-sister's cat, Landon, is staying with us until August when she and her boyfriend can take Landon back. Personally, I can't WAIT until that darn cat goes back to where it came from! Cats are such annoying animals...they try to steal the attention from me!
