Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 2nd 1993
Likes: At my age, are you kidding, I like to sleep!

Pet-Peeves: I hate that my owner's won't give me any table food

Favorite Toy: My favorite toy is this furry white lamb...well, not so white and not so furry anymore. I've had this lamb for 14yrs now. It was my first Christmas present.

Favorite Food: juicy bone my owner's will give me once in a blue moon. Small one too

Favorite Walk: I don't like to walk. Getting too old for that. But I do love to ride in the car. You tell me Bye Bye and I'm at the door ready and excited.

Best Tricks: When my owner's tell me to dance for a treat, I stand on my back legs and twirl in a circle like a ballerina. Ahhh, my younger years. I don't do this so much anymore.

Arrival Story: My owners were searching for a miniature Pincher and found me in a cage with 4 rat terriers. They thought I was one too, how insulting! Anyway, they were told what breed I was and they wanted to see me. So I got to show off some of my cuteness to win them over. I had to work extra hard since there was so many other dogs there competing against me. Anyway, what won them over was the fact that I wasn't hiding in the back of my cage, but jumping at the front begging to go home with them. I've been a happy pup ever since.

Bio: I've been a very good dog to my owners. They loved that they can live anywhere with me and that most landlords will let me stay even if they have a no pet clause. When I was little, my owner's use to celebrate my birthday with meatloaf. That way, everyone got to have a piece of my meatloaf cake. When I turned 7yrs old, that all stopped. They haven't let me have table food anymore since that time and the vet declared me the healthiest old dog he's ever seen. I'm so proud of my title. My life here is grand, with car rides, vacations, and christmas presents that I get. My owner's love me!

At 12:50am on Nov 1, 2007, Pixie went to sleep forever while being held by her owners. She had gone septic and would not recover.
They say memories are golden, well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place that noone could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
In Loving Memory

Pixie would write this diary herself, but she isn't feeling well and in the doggie hospital.
Pixie is sick and has been for the past week. It started out slowly with her being slightly lethargic and not wanting to get up, not even to go to the bathroom. After watching her for 4 days, I couldn't take it and decided to take her to the vet to see if something was wrong. Well there is. Pixie has a spinal disease along with 2 disk compressions. Her spine is hurting her. We took her to a specialist to see if surgery can help her. At this time, it's not an option because of the disease. So we have pain medication for her for when she needs it. However, last night, she started having diarrhea. We figured it's from the medication, so we confined her to the kitchen so that I didn't have to steam clean the rug anymore. Well, when my husband came home today, the kitchen floor was covered in diarrhea and blood. So we rushed her to the vet again. She is severely dehydrated and her blood levels were sky high. So she is currently spending the night in the doggie hospital with IV's for the glucose for the dehydration and blood transfusion for her blood loss. I hate having her there, but I can't take her home if she's going to get worse. The Vet seems to think that this is all stress related because of the two days she was at the vets for her spine. We need to get her calmed down and on her feet again. The vet does not think she's dying yet and does NOT recommend putting her down.
So keep Pixie in your prayers as we go through this hard time.

Last week Tuesday, my Mom took me to the vet for a 6 month check up. I did great with all my tests except the fact that they found that I had grade 3 periodontal disease. My mouth smelled really bad. Vet said this is caused because I refuse to eat hard dog food and only wanted soft all the time. Well, today I had my surgery. I only have 4 teeth left on my left side and my tongue hangs out of my right side now. There isn't any teeth to hold it in. The Vet said that I had some bone loss and that I have no stability in my jaw. It's held together by the ligaments only. *whimper* my mouth hurts. The Vet also wants to change my diet because Science Diet Senior isn't working anymore and I have high elevations in my kidneys. So he's changing me to some Vet food called K/D especially created for kidney pet patients.
This hasn't been a good day for me....my human sister had to feed me when I got home because I was obviously hungry but couldn't figure out how to get it into my painful mouth. I did eat a little, but gave up after awhile.
Well, it's time for my medication.
Yip Yip!
