Arrival Story:
Gunther's family decided that they no longer wanted dogs (they had another yellow lab that was a few years younger than him) and they took them to the vet and asked the vet to put them down. The vet refused, so they dropped both boys off at a high kill shelter. Both were scheduled to be put down and the Retriever Rescue of Colorado stepped in and saved the day. We adopted Gunther from the rescue because we believe that he deserves to have a good home for his "Golden Years".
