Joyful Reunion

A few weeks ago I was running in the beautiful hills at Rainbow Bridge with Annie, Joshua, Jesse, Sadie, Casey and all my dear pup pals. Something was different, but at first, I wasn't sure what it was. Suddenly, I saw someone -- a human -- walking right towards me! This had never happened before, so I put my nose in the air to smell the wind. As the person got closer, I just stared and stared, and my heart began to beat fast...

And then I knew. It was my Mama! She was here! She had come to take me to heaven with her! I was beside myself with joy; barking, running around her, jumping into her arms, kissing her! Mama was laughing ... and crying. She saw Annie, Joshua, Jesse, Sadie and Casey and she hugged and kissed them, too; after all, she is their Grandma! Suddenly, I realized they could not go with us, but must wait for Mama's children to come for them. I knew I would miss them. Annie is as close to me as a sister! I kissed her face and told her I loved her. I kissed Joshua, Jesse, Sadie and Casey too. And Mama promised them they would see us soon in Heaven.

As Mama and I neared the Bridge, our loved ones followed at a distance. Mama waved good-bye to them one last time, and then she and I turned and crossed Rainbow Bridge together. Forever.
