Arrival Story:
I was mulling over getting another mastiff when with a click of the mouse, I immediately recognized that face. I quickly added Sly's little sister to our family. Check out her litter photo. Isn't she the sweetest, cutest, tiniest thing? Girl's going to be the supermodel of Mastiffs with those long skinny legs.
Bio:
I realized, during his time at puppy kindergarten and canine camp, that her brother Sly would miss his pals when he graduated. Because the hybrid breed (80% purebred Old English Mastiffs and 20% purebred Cane Corso) love to be with people and other dogs I decided we would add another pup to our family. The soon to be Dakota Sioux, an apricot colored hybrid Mastiff, was the puppy for us. Because of her sweet disposition she might, once she gets past whatever trauma she's undergone, make a good therapy dog. She is the gentlest thing and such a love bug.

Daxi's Name:
Dakota Sioux is named as a tribute to the Great Sioux Nation. The People are comprised of three major subdivisions; the Lakota, the Nakota, and the Dakota.

The Sioux signed the Fort Laramie Treaty in 1868, which recognized the Sioux Nation as a sovereign nation. This treaty originally guaranteed the Sioux approximately 50 million acres of traditional homeland in Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming.

Hi all.
Me and Sly had a somewhat restless night with all the (sanctioned and not sanctioned) pre-holiday fireworks. Mommy sat with us so we had nothing to worry about. She will stay up with us tonight too. Then the early morning best ever smells of grills hard at work got us going again. We just had lunch. Grilled chicken fingers. Yummy! Now we need a nap. Take care and enjoy the day. Love *DAXi*
