my mom found rena for sale in the news paper and though she would be a good dog because she was small and cheep ($20) so one day when my sister was at her friends house my mom, her husband and I all piled in our bug and took off to go see her, but i did not know this is what we were doing till I asked half way through the trip and found out we were going to get a dog or see if we could. well we had issuses finding the place because the lady who owned her lived in the boonies and off a samll dirt road. when we got there i saw a small pure-bred long haired red dachshund and though please let that be her, but it wasn't, it was a relitive of hers though i think it was her grand-niece or great gand-niece (i asked) the lady showed us through the back (which was filled with chihuahuas and dachshunds) and introduced my mom and I to Rena. Who at the time was Chile-rea-enose. (which is a mexican food.) Rena was in a large cage with a dirty dog house all by her self and wasn't barking at us like the other dogs; in fact she was hiding in the corner watching. At first i didn't like her (well i liked her, but she wasn't what i wanted) mom started talking to the lady about Rena, but thats not how i wanted to get to know her. I wanted to know her the way dogs get to know one another, close and personal. So i asked if I could go in the cage and she said yes. I went in sat in a conner (I know not to aproche a stange dog to fast) I just sat there watching her and she was watching me after a good 20min I got closer 10 more min. ever closer and she darted away conered her by the cage opening and the lady said "be careful she might bite" and I though ha! if she bites me who cares I'e been bit by all north-western pets of all shapes and sizes when I was training them to be "handler friendly". Icared little about getting bit and could tell that she wouldn't bite so i petted her then picked her up. I knew there was somthing between us at that moment and didn't want to put her down. mom and the lady were talking about her being unsocail and the lady asked us to come in and talk some more, but Rena had to stay out side because shes "viocuos with others" and "will kill the new puppies in side" i look at he and though you would too wouldn't you, all you need is some TLC. but I stop and put her down and went inside with mom and the lady. the lady had like 3 dogs and about 6 cats inside her little home (as in a small single trailer with probly only one room.) I saw the puppies and the small dachie that looked no older then 2, but barely looked one and was told she was the next mom 2 be. I wanted to get out of there because this lady was a crazy breeder and she was told she wasnt suppose to have all those dogs and had to get rid of most of them (she cant have more then 14 dogs she had like 30 though) mom got out the money and paid for Rena and we got back in the bug and drove off. Rena drooled profusley all the way home were she met my sisters dog Pebbles a shnoodle (shnauzer mixed witha poodle) and though at first they didn't get along she learned fast and became her friend and soon after was fixed and now she never really eaves my side except to see to the people at the door.
Was a mom twice, but due to her eating her frist litter (i believe because of her poor living condions) her second litter was tooken from her right after she gave birth to them.
Rena is also a lesbeain and is the top pet dog in our family and wont take bull from our newest dog Daisy even though daisy has a puppy aditude and is her girl friend (this i know because their overly friendly with eachother and Daisy in the only dog Rena "humps".
