Listen to ME!!

Mama and me and Joey were hanging out. Then Mama laid on the floor with me and Joey.

"Whaddya doin?" I asked her! "The BED is WAY more comfy than the FLOOR!! If we go take a nap, we should do it in the BED! Follow me!!!"

And I made my way to the bedroom!

Mama stalled a minute, but she eventually followed me. Then we cuddled up and napped! Whoa! Silly Mommy! She can thank me later!!! MY Mama deserves SOFTNESS!! Just like we do!!

Whoopsie!!

Whoopsie! I got too big for my britches! I tried to tell Daddy last night that I was HIS boss.

No, no, that's not right!

I was sleeping and had a GREAT spot on the bed when he let Frank out at 2am. When he came back he tried to scoot me, as he ALWAYS does, and I said, "OH NO, LITTLE PIGGY!! I'M THE MAN! I'M THE BOSS! DON'T YOU MESS WITH ME, LITTLE PIGGY!!!"

It woke Mama out of a dead sleep! Mama and Daddy were NOT pleased. AT ALL.

I got lured to my crate with duck. I think my bed privileges have been revoked. Daddy hurt his back from jumping away from me and hitting his nightstand.

Mama was SHOCKED when she realized Frank wasn't in the picture! She thought I was going after him! NOPE! GOIN' AFTER DADA!

Again, bad idea. Whoopsie.

Now it's a new ball game. I used to run this ship. Mama and Daddy were putty in my hands. Now? Looks like I'm the putty. Mama and Daddy say it's really THEIR fault that happened. WHEW! Nothin' like blaming to relieve myself of guilt!!! Thanks, guys!!

I was sitting with Mama on the couch and Daddy came to sit down. I almost LEAPT over. Makin' room for you, boss!!!

Sounds like there will be more discipline and less bed sleeps for me. Good thing my TWO crates are crammed with soft beds! And there are most than that scattered around the house!

I can't do that again! No messin' up! Mama and Daddy have said we ALL need to behave and know who is boss! I guess it ain't me!

I think I can live with that. Whoopsie!!!

Another?

Another??? Mama and Daddy took in another stray. NOW we have TWO extra humans living under our roof! The first was Mama's brother. He's okay, but SO not a dog person. He's kinda easy to scare, and I think it's kinda fun!

Don't tell anyone....

This new guy though, he's from Daddy's side of the family and he's told me that he'll pet me but he's not submitting to me! Wow! He's young and lean and fit - not sure I want to mess with this guy! He sure does pet ears nice though!

This house is a human ZOO! People everywhere! Whose ship is this? Mama and Daddy whispered to me and Frank that it's still ours, not to worry! We dogs are IN CHARGE!

SQUIRREL! BUTLER!!!

Yesterday there was a BLACK SQUIRREL in the back yard! We spent HOURS AND HOURS stalking him!!!

Then it was dinner time. Those weak minded shepherds, they went inside right away for dinner! NOT ME! I'm BUSY! I'm a TERRIER!

Daddy was a good butler. He brought me my bowl of food, I ate it at the bottom of the tree while he waited patiently, then he took my bowl and I continued to stalk the squirrel!

I just KNEW he'd get away if I left! Daddy gets me. He understands what's important.

Daddy's the BEST butler ever!! I'm SO glad I hired him!!!

Mama says I'm just really relaxed! But yesterday we got to eat REAL bones - it was SOOOOO good! Frank and Joey like them frozen, me? Not so much.

Daddy has been gone a LONG LONG time. 7 months. That's 49 months in dog time!! WOW!

Daddy says I've changed a bit since he left! I am MUCH more talkative! I yawn and groan and snort and coo and even BARK!! Lately I've been reaching for things with my front paws too!

Daddy says I'm more EXPRESSIVE and he thinks it's funny! He laughs! Mama is happy I express myself too. They say there's not much worse than a repressed pup!

And Joey runs a tight ship around here!!! If I get out of line she's sure to let me know!

Long time no bark!!!

Long time no bark indeed!! Daddy has been at WAR and me and Frank and Joey have all been busy pulling extra duty to make sure the home compound is safe!!!

Plus our computer broke! That makes for BAD diary stuff! Like, NO diary stuff!!

Well, tonight that changes!!! We're back!!

Daddy will be home SOON! And I mean it!!! SOON! That's what Mama says!!!!

Tonight I told Mama I wanted to be in her lap.

She said, "Go on"

Guess what, Mama? I DON'T KNOW THAT COMMAND!!! Oh, SNAP!

I don't have to 'go on' now! Hah!

Tummy troubles!

My tummy was sick!

Yesterday it said it wanted EVERYTHING OUT! NOW! So it came out - front and back ends!

THEN I pulled a Houdini and got out of my crate! BOL! I didn't want to hang out with my throw-up! Gross! And I really wanted to poopie somewhere NOT my crate!

Mama put me on 'light duty'! I'm not taking walks and I'm eating rice and boiled chicken! Nom! That's pretty good!

I've held down two meals! And now I'm starting to think that I should eat MORE!

Maybe I can eat MORE, Mama?

She says not yet. She says we need to be nice to my tum tum. Rice and chicken, rice and chicken! I can't wait for breakfast!!

Watching the lower dogs!

Mama and I were like a KING and QUEEN tonight! We sat so close together and watched Joey and Frank spar!

It was like we were royalty and they were our jesters or fighters or gladiators, for our entertainment!

I got into it and wanted to jump in a time or two, but Mama said that just meant I was successfully entertained! We marveled at Joey and Frank, how they sparred and rolled around and leapt through the air!

We were the King and Queen, me and Mama! How will we be entertained next?

Sneaky but innocent!

Sneaky! Mama went to run errands today and I was in Joey's crate. I can stretch out better in her crate. She THOUGHT my crate door was shut! BOL! It wasn't!

She crated Frank and went on her way! I had a grand time napping, getting water when I desired, and checking out the safety status of the house!

When she got home I was at the door with Joey, happy to greet her and ensure the house had been secure the WHOLE time! I did it! I'm a superstar!

Maybe she'll let me be out more often when she goes away for short things....

As for now I don't play nice with the dog sitter A.K.A. the STRANGER coming into my house! I'll stay crated. I prefer it! I'm not mingling with the enemy!
