Arrival Story:
Ebony was dumped in the country on a cold winter night. The farmer saw the car pull over, and saw two people run up out of the ditch in the headlights. The next day he saw dog prints, and assumed they had found their lost dog. 2 days later Ebony wandered into his yard. He thought she was rabid, or sick-she kept tripping and running into things, and called the sherrif. Turns out she is completely blind. Our county has no shelter so our Rescue group was her only chance. When no one stepped up within the mandatory seven days to claim her, and we had no inquiries about anyone wanting to adopt her, I brought her home as a foster. She is teaching me a lot!

I came to live in my new place on the 3rd of February. My new mommie has an awful lot to learn about my disability of blindness. But she has a lot of people helping her on the interenet, and she is trying! So far she has let me walk into a car and a tree...ouch! But she felt really bad and gave me lots of hugs and kisses, so it was OK. She is getting better on our walks...she forgets I cant see, and that she has to be my eyes. But I like it here...everyone is real careful now to leave evrything in the same spot so I know where I am at...and mommie gave me a really nice soft bed. I am still sore from being spayed, but mommie says that will be better for me in the long run. I like being here, and I dont have to be afraid of anything anymore...no one will hit me here, and people are kind to me, and always want to pet me, and spoil me. I even have three sisters!
