Arrival Story:
We found Willy on Petfinder.org when we were trying to find a companion for our female labmix Myrna. We lost our male, Nick last August and really wanted another male. Although Willy wasn't our first choice, we decided to give him a chance as it didn't look as though he'd have much luck finding a home - he was a stray and had no idea how to play, much less ever being taught any manners. He has what seems to be a less severe case of SA, but is not destructive at all. He is just very anxious when left alone or can't see us. His worse trait is constant pacing to the point he can't concentrate on anyone or anything when he feels this way.
We've seen some improvement in his manners - sit before eating and waiting to be released before he dives into his food, much to his dismay. He also has learned to sit/stay at most doors - still working on the others! We have a long way to go with him, but his personality is finally coming thru - he's really a big goof, but just didn't have a chance to show it.
The picture shows him after we had him neutered - the cone he's wearing is the 3rd one we had to buy! He didn't miss a wall or door - notice the tape holding this last one together....my legs are still healing from the bruising from him crashing into me!
