Birthday: January 1st 2006 Likes: His treats Pet-Peeves: Don't push him he will come to you on his terms Favorite Toy: He loves any toy Favorite Food: The kind that shows up every day faithfully....this dog was truly almost starved to death Favorite Walk: In the field behind our house Arrival Story: Lucky is an owner surrender to a veterinary office once it was determined that he was suffering from abuse and neglect. Lucky was scarred and malnourished from living in a garage with pit bulls and other animals (they had to fight to get food when and if they were fed). The ASPCA officer involved thinks Lucky was used as a "teaser" dog (not a bait dog) that was used to get the Pitties to fight, which could explain the scarring and that he is still alive. He's a sweet boy who will need someone that is an experienced dog person to take the leadership role with him to help him stable out. His temperament is such that if you don’t establish this position for yourself, he will feel obliged to try to take that position. He does have food aggression that we are working on (Most likely from being starved and having to fight for food) so if there are other dogs in the home he will need to be feed separate. Most importantly, he needs a home that will help him heal inside and out and show him what it is like to be a happy dog.
