Harumph... I just get growed up and I find myself in prison!! Guess growing up means that heat thing, huh?
Oh well, cuz I am nice and don't climb out of my pen like Riley, I get to stay in an expen in the daycare room. It is much nicer than the kennel cuz everyone that comes visits with me. And, Mom lets me go outside with Piper and Bubbles.
But, I would sure rather be at home in my nice pen with Grampa Jones. We got to go outside whenever we wanted to, and I was sitting right there to remind Mom to take me down to the lab pen with the others.
Over here it is kind of out of sight, out of mind, I think cuz I hear those other guys running and playing down in that pen.
Mom says I only have to stay in here for about three weeks. THREE WEEKS????? That is a HUGE long time, I think!!! Summer will be over in three weeks.
Hey, Mom said maybe she will take me to a dog show in August. She is taking Grampa Jones and Darrell and she said maybe I could tag along. I am old enough now and almost all of my sunburned coat is gone. And, all my hot spots and bug bites are healing and if I am in prison, no bugs can bite me and no sun can burn my coat, right?
Gee, I hope I can go!!!

sorry you are a prisoner but 'indoors' dogs look real fancy if you go to the show. later on i'm sure you can go back to being a happy 'tomgirl' rolling in the mud and getting all scuffed up.
pete brought back this fancy dog catalogue from connecticut and there are all these adorable frenchies modelling in it. i googled one of the dogs because he looks so much like me, his name is emmett. i found his family, they are breeders. look at these cute pics..some of the dogs look just like us?
