Arrival Story:
The first time I ever got sophie she was shy. Most dogs are shy when they see there new home for the first time but she was so shy she wouldn't even dare to eat. I just thought she was a little nervous but the next day she was becoming weak. The day after that she still didnt adapt to the house. I decided it was wise to bring her back to the kennel I had got her at and I had her stay a few more days . The breeders offered me a different dog but I refused. They agreed to take her for a few more days until she got well. 4 days later, the kennel called and said Sophie was nice and healthy and ready to go home. They had fed her and bathed her. She just needed a little time to say goodbye. After, I brought Sophie back home and you could really see a difference on how she behaved. Now Sophie is a small 7 pounded, curious little Yorkshire Terrier that loves to play...especially rough with our cat.

A little while ago I got a new hair style! I went to the groomers and they cut my hair really short. They gave me a bath, put perfume stuff on me, and put a bandana on me! I came home to my owner smelling all nice and clean :) I liked it and I can tell she liked it too.

If you are thinking about getting a Yorkie here are some- tips...

When I got Sophie, I didnt know very much about Yorkshire Terriers. I got some books on care andd they had a lot of tips. Here are some of those tips if you ever plan on getting a Yorkie or if you already own one...

Yorkies are VERY energetic. Sometimes when they meet new people they get super excited! Most of the time, Yorkies are pretty good about training. Yorkies get along with other animals and gentle children. They bark often so if you want a dog that barks, you'll probably like the Yorkie. The Yorkie has a long, glossy coat that should be groomed often. Most people like to put female Yorkies hair in a bow. Yorkies are usually steel blue or gray but puppies are born black. Yorkies are very small dogs so if you like brave big dogs, the Yorkie is probably not the dog for you. Even though the Yorkie thinks it's larger than it is, they still are small, sassy pups. Yorkies uasually weigh 1-10 lbs and are about 7-9 inches tall. The males are a little bit bigger than the females. Yorkies usually live 12-14 years.

I hope these tips helped a bit!
