Arrival Story:
We rescued Sammi from people that couldn't appreciate her spunk and personality! Shes full of life and very vibrant and they just couldn't handle her. She is quite a handful but I couldn't imagine the house without her.

Where to start with Sam... To people that don't know Sam at first they think she's a tad scary to be honest. She's very vocal and feisty, but would rather give you kisses more then anything else once she's finished woofing at you. Were pretty sure Sam was abused at one of her previous homes( we got her when she was 8 months old and she'd already been through 3 homes) she has what appears to be a scar from a cigarette burn and she's not trusting with certain things. Like being picked up, she'll let you do it but she tries to back away, she doesn't like being cornered, by anything or anyone and gets very snarly though she won't actually bite, just make lots of noise. However she loves when new people come over, especially kids. She runs up to them and jumps in their lap and licks and licks. She's very independent and only wants attention when she asks for it. Doesn't like to be a lap dog for more then 2 minutes, doesn't like to snuggle, and only associates with the other dogs when SHE wants to. It took a lot of work to get her to trust us to do things like give her a bath, trim nails, pick her up, check her mouth, etc. But she is so unique and really loves her people and is so loyal once she trusts them, that I can't imagine why anyone would want to give her up. I mean when we go to grandmas for a weekend visit she loves it until she thinks were leaving then she waits by the door and tries to sneak out and run to the car so we don't leave her behind. When we first got her she would bolt out the door every chance she got and run away, now when she bolts out( only when told it's ok) she runs straight to the car and waits. I'm glad her other owners took her snarly feisty terrier attitude the wrong way and we got her, because she makes me smile everyday with her antics and silly personality.
