Gotcha Date: August 10th 2010 Birthday: June 16th 2010 Likes: Faith is our Miss Personality and is full of life. She loves little kids, taking walks, belly rubs, performing & learning new tricks, fetching and herding other animals. And she loves to run, run, run!!! Pet-Peeves: Baths aren't her favorite though she does love the hose. Go figure. Favorite Toy: Her red Kong frisbee. Favorite Food: Milk bones, ham, bacon and liver treats. Favorite Walk: Down the road to play with her Border Collie friends, Darlin and Gracie. She loves going anywhere with me. Best Tricks: She currently knows about 40 tricks and commands so I will list only a few favorites. Spin, sit pretty, cross your paws, wave, crawl, balance on your hind legs, bang bang, are you sad?, roll over, go get ‘em, and she opens doors for me. Arrival Story: Faith I got from a small breeder in Ohio. She has awesome bloodlines which I was able to trace back to the great Winston Cap and even as far as the first Border Collie, Old Hemp. Faith got her name because after going through the nightmare of Daisy dissapearing and again when Buddy died I discovered that you have to have a lot of Faith and trust in God to be able to get through hard times like that. So for me Faith is a reminder of God's grace and of the wonderful gifts He gave me by letting me share a few years of my life with such amazing dogs. Bio: Faith is a sweet, happy, responsive little girl. She is very smart and friendly and, true to her breed, has a high instinct for herding. She loves to play and make new friends. I am lucky to be owned by such a special pup! Forums Motto: Why walk when you can RUN!!! A few nights ago Faith ripped a tissue box into shreds and then chewed a hole in the bottom of the new cat food bag and helped herself to a snack. (Not like I ever feed her. :)
Then yesterday she tore up a garbage bag waiting to be picked up and strewed the trash all over the yard. Of course it was dark and freezing and half covered in snow as I had to pick it up. It didn’t help that the garbage was moldy food and dirty diapers. Lol
But then again, who cares, these are the things memories are made of and naughty-puppy incidents like this will be cherished forever
I wish I had started a diary for Faith sooner because I have a few funny stories to share.
Monday Faith was acting strange and her stomach was all bloated. We thought she had gotten into some driveway salt so we called the vet who told us to give her some Pepto Bismal. Well then we discovered that someone had dumped 12 Panera bagels in to the yard and Miss Smarty thought that 6 of them would make a good snack. After some Kaopectate, Ascidophilus, and fiber and much rest she recovered.
You’d think she learned her lesson right?
Not.
The next day someone was making fried chicken and left for a minute. When they came back they were short a piece of chicken. Missy had snatched it from the counter and snuck away with it.
So naughty we had to laugh.
