Arrival Story:
Peppe was a shelter dog. He was brought to the Kitsap Humane Society earlier in 2010 as a half blind, aggressive dog. He was adopted to an older man once, but he returned him because he bit him. After Peppe's quarantine, KHS decided to try to find a blind dog rescue for him. Since that seemed to be taking a long time, and since I am a volunteer at KHS, I decided to "foster" Peppe until he was able to go to a rescue. Peppe is my first "foster failure." We decided to work with him and help him become a part of an active family. So far he has improved but is still working on accepting all the family members-especially when they try to pick him up. As are we all, he is a work in progress!
Bio:
Peppe is blind in one eye and has a cataract in the other. He has some arthritis in his hind legs which makes it difficult to get up and down stairs. He gets along great with my other 2 dogs-unless they have a toy.
