Arrival Story:
Kong has been with Four Paws Rescue since July 2010 after we rescued her from a local shelter when her time was up. That's a long time for such a rarity at Four Paws, but not totally surprising since we can't take her to adoption events since she gets so stressed and begins acting out towards other dogs. She is still an adoptable dog and is SO sweet! Please give this great girl a chance at a forever home with a loving family!
Bio:
Kong is super sweet and friendly. She loves people and attention. She is house-trained. She has the typical mellow, gentle giant temperament of the Dane and is such a good dog! Kong is good with most other dogs with a proper introduction. If you have another dog, they will need to meet to insure it's a good match. Kong is NOT good with cats, and we do not recommend her going to a home with young children, just due to her size. Kong is about 6 years old and is a Great Dane. She is a BIG dog and stands at the waist of an average size adult. She is absolutely gorgeous! Kong's adoption fee is $250 which includes she is spayed and up to date on shots. Thanks for your interest in sweet Kong!! ***Four Paws Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill organization that is located in Logan, Utah. It says we are located in Syracuse, Utah which is not true. The volunteer who updates the pages on Dogster lives in Syracuse, but Four Paws is located in Logan. We show dogs by appointment or at adoption events at the Layton Petsmart. We rescue dogs and cats from local kill shelters before they're going to be euthanized. We will also occasionally take in owner surrenders, but a majority of our dogs come from kill shelters. We then place them into caring foster homes (if available) until they are adopted into forever homes. All Four Paws Rescue dogs will be spayed/neutered and up to date with shots (Rabies and Parvo/Distemper) before they are adopted.
