Hi everyone. Just thought I would let everyone know I am still here and a 13 year old now. I am doing great and make everyone smile.
I recently went to a Gold Ribbon Rescue picnic at Zilker Park in Austin. GRR has helped me out TWICE! First, when I was a pup they brought me and my littermates and mom and pop from Junction, Texas. We were so hungry after our peeps had moved out and left us on a ranch. GRR to the rescue. We were also covered in fleas.
I had a very stable life til I turned 11 and one of my owners unexpectedly died in his sleep. He was a middle age man so this was a very sad situation. His wife and kids had to move to an apt and I could not go because I could not use the stairs. GRR came in again and I went into foster care......and was adopted by my fosters. I made such a good impression and had so much personality they couldn't let me go.
Just checking in....you know every day is a gift when you get to be my age :0)

I seem to always have something to say so it is only my lack of a typist that I have not made an entry sooner..
I got adopted into my foster home this year. Everyone loves me here. I am still playing Tug with Troop. I have had a couple of surgeries, on my face and in my mouth but I am still going strong. My latest scare has been seizures, but they don't come often and I recuperate from them very quickly.
Mom has bought me booties to wear so I can get traction on the tile floors, but I can undo the velcro with my teeth and they don't stay on too long. They really do help me get up quicker.
Still lovin life and so full of myself. Love my car rides and short walks. Life is good for this rescued girl.

I have been in my foster home since July 20. When I came here they told me I needed to lose some weight much to my dismay. Nore more people food and high calorie treats for me :(
I was confuesd at first. Rmemeber, I had my previous family since puppyhood. Why was I in my new home...where did my people go? But, I have a very strong personality that is always shining through. I made my place as the comedian in this house...I am a great conversationalist and love to play. Troop seems to be my best playmate and we have wonderful games of Tug. I am smart enough to know to lie down for better leverage.
Since I have come here I have lost between 9-10 lbs. I am so energetic with the weight off.....anyone want me for a commercial...bol.
I love all my new friends on Dogster and am so glad that life is good for me now. Change is good....really!
