Arrival Story:
Sammie is our foster for Gold Ribbon Rescue She is adoptable but right now she is fine here at our house.

Bio:
Sammie is a talkative senior girl. She loves to carry things around in her mouth and will actually have a real "conversation" with you.She gets along great with everyone and is a joy to have at our house for as long as she needs to be here. Though she has only been here a few days she seems very comfortable after leaving her furever home she had for 11 years. She is a real gem.

Gone ahead

I put up a good fight, I am stubborn that way you know. My time on this earth ended on August 27th around 5:30. It was a gentle journey and I was spunky to the end. Too bad my legs quit working and 65 lbs was just too much to manuever around. I don't know why my parents were crying, I am whole again and pain free. We will meet again some day.

I had the most wonderful life for a rescue pup. I was adopted by two families who loved me to the moon and back. I am probably running with my first dad in heaven. I know he was glad to see me.

So many of my dogster pals and previous family is in heaven. Too many to mention, but I was told about Sushi, Holly and Maggie....look them up first.

Remember, not gone, but gone ahead.

The life of a 13 year old.

Hi everyone. Just thought I would let everyone know I am still here and a 13 year old now. I am doing great and make everyone smile.

I recently went to a Gold Ribbon Rescue picnic at Zilker Park in Austin. GRR has helped me out TWICE! First, when I was a pup they brought me and my littermates and mom and pop from Junction, Texas. We were so hungry after our peeps had moved out and left us on a ranch. GRR to the rescue. We were also covered in fleas.

I had a very stable life til I turned 11 and one of my owners unexpectedly died in his sleep. He was a middle age man so this was a very sad situation. His wife and kids had to move to an apt and I could not go because I could not use the stairs. GRR came in again and I went into foster care......and was adopted by my fosters. I made such a good impression and had so much personality they couldn't let me go.

Just checking in....you know every day is a gift when you get to be my age :0)

Still here!

I seem to always have something to say so it is only my lack of a typist that I have not made an entry sooner..

I got adopted into my foster home this year. Everyone loves me here. I am still playing Tug with Troop. I have had a couple of surgeries, on my face and in my mouth but I am still going strong. My latest scare has been seizures, but they don't come often and I recuperate from them very quickly.

Mom has bought me booties to wear so I can get traction on the tile floors, but I can undo the velcro with my teeth and they don't stay on too long. They really do help me get up quicker.

Still lovin life and so full of myself. Love my car rides and short walks. Life is good for this rescued girl.
