Arrival Story:
We were looking for a new pet after the sudden death of our elderly poodle, whom we had just rescued 10 months before.
We went to the shelter and were just about to give up hope of finding a senior dog to help when one member of staff showed us Cinderella, and it was love at first sight, though she looked like a dirty mop at the time.
Buttons was surrendered to ACC one cold winter's day as an unwanted 12 year old in terrible neglected condition. The owners simply said they "had another dog now." She had food and water issues, she had been so deprived, and was matted beyond belief.
She soon transformed into a beauty, a silver buff cocker spaniel who just wants to be loved. So she was re-named Cinderella and has not only been transformed by love, but has transformed our house as well with her great personality.
