Yay mum said we can go to the river this morning :D I love the river, (even though i don't like swimming) there are lots of birds to play chase with ;)

Oh and Milly is coming along too, which means that we will all get soaked! She loves swimming (must be a retreiver thing?)

I'll get mum to bring the camera thing and take some piccy's as one can never have too many pictures of moi :P

Drama at agility

Ok tonight was going great until me and mum went to try out the dog walk. The first few times I went over it fine, mum held my collar to be safe. Anyway I admit I got a little cocky and the next time I went over it I went too fast and my back legs slipped and I fell off :( Luckily mum was right beside me and managed to catch me. She mentioned something about ''getting straight back on the horse'' so we went again and cos I was a little nervous my back legs slipped again :'( thankfully mum caught me again. So mum made me stand on the up ramp and gave me a treat just to let me know it was all ok, and then she lifted me onto the straight plank and made me walk back down again just to show me it was all ok, and we left it at that.

Anyway after that embarrassing lil accident, (it was awful cos everyone else saw) I decided to work extra hard to show my mum I was still good at this agility stuff, and I did the tyre jump for the first time, we turned the weave poles closer together too and we did a little mini course with quite a few different turns. But my mum was still very pleased with me, even though she did run out of treats towards the end, but I didn't mind as I got a massive cuddle.

So mum has spoken to my great-grandad and he suggested that I walk over a plank a few times just to get used to walking over something narrow, and then build it up with a few bricks so I get used to the height issue at home so next week we can try again.

So this next week I am committed to working extra hard, just so I can prove to everyone at training that I am no wuss! Mum has mentioned something about competing when I am old enough to as well so I need to get good!

My mum has finally said i'm old enough to have my very own blog :D

The dilemma I had was what to write about, so after much deliberation I decided to write about my experiences with agility (and maybe boring obedience :( )as me and my mum have just started going to classes.

So far we have only been to two classes and I have already fathomed out the tunnel, the collapsible tunnel, and jumping up to height. I am also getting the hang of the weave poles and turning left or right after a jump. I am absolutely loving it though and so is my mum, she keeps telling me that all those 'boring' obedience classes we have been to have paid off as i'm paying attention more rather than what is going on elsewhere. She tells me that i'm so good for listening to her, when all the other dogs are messing their mum's and dad's around when we should be learning exciting new stuff :D

Anyway i must be off as i need to rest before our class tonight hehe. I shall make another post after class to update on what we have learnt tonight.

Many woofs to all
