Arrival Story:
I was saved from a puppy mill by a rescue group in MO that was located in a veterinarian's office. Unfortunately, I was terrified there, because it still kind of reminded me of the mill, being in a cage and all. I was biting everybody for the two months that I spent there. They were thinking that maybe I couldn't adjust and live a happy life, so they thought about sending me to the Rainbow Bridge. But luckily, a very kind veterinarian named Abby decided to try and see if there was a rescue group that would take a dog with a bite history. That's when she got in touch with my Mom and Dad's group, Bare Paws Rescue. Next thing you know, I'm in the car and on the way to my new foster home. Boy, did I love it there! My foster mom, Maria, took such good care of me. After she had had me a couple months, I travelled a very long way to my Mom and Dad's house, my forever home! You see, they had been thinking about me ever since they said they would take me into their group, and decided that I was the special one that they were going to adopt. I was very nervous, not knowing where I was going. But I met them and my 3 dog sisters, and it was love at first sight for everybody! I was really scared at first and spent some time hiding behind the recliner, but you should see me now! I've only been here 3 weeks so far (July 14, 2010), but I am playing and racing up and down the halls and just having a blast. Mom and Dad are so thankful that Abby at Grandview Animal Hospital, and my foster mom Maria, cared enough about me to save me and take care of me until I could go to my home. And boy, is my life full of joy now! I never knew what life could be like. They kiss me on top of my head and tell me all the time how much they love me. Sometimes they catch me staring at them with the sweetest look on my face-I am just amazed by my good luck and can't believe how happy I am! Oh, and no, I don't bite at all!
