Arrival Story:
When I started looking for a new dog I knew I wanted a Malinois. I searched petfinder.com and found Heidi at a local rescue. She had been on the kill list at a high kill shelter in KY as a puppy and was saved. I got her when she was about a year old and after adopting her we realized that she had been abused. She was terrified of men, escecially gay men, I don't know how she can tell but she can. She had aggression issues with other dogs as well as biting issues with people is if you touched her a certain way, she was very mouthy, which is no surprise since it's a typical malinois trait. Anyways after I started training her she blossomed into a wonderful well behaved and trustworthy dog. She overcame her fears and aggressions and is now an absolutely wonderful dog who is extremely tolerant and absolutely loves to work! She even plays mamma dog for foster puppies and helps with their training as well as the training of older dogs we foster. She's so helpful in evaluating new rescues in their behavior.

Bio:
Heidi has 3 years of obedience training, she fell out of it when I went to Germany for a couple weeks and then was busy with college, but now I am happy to say she is back in training and absolutely loves it! She's started to dabble in protection work... As far as Heidi is concerned she is all Malinois!!!
