Birthday: April 9th 2009 Likes: Playing with other dogs. Nothing compares to that for Monty! Favorite Toy: Sticks! He has all the toys he could want but prefers to pick up sticks in the back yard. Best Tricks: He's a jumper! Arrival Story: Monty is being fostered by a volunteer with Rogers' Rescues. He was a stray in Kentucky and he was transported North to start his new life. Bio: Monty is a 14 lb. Mini Aussie/Papillon/Eskimo dog mix. But that breed mix is a wild guess. Monty looks delicate but he has the heart -- and the attitude -- of a much larger dog.
Monty is quite striking to look at. He has a beautiful white coat with delicate touches of tan. And around his mouth, his markings look like he's wearing lipstick!
Monty loves to play with other dogs -- especially one of the other fosters in his foster home. While he doesn't fetch himself, he enjoys running along after the other dogs as they retrieve. Then, to cool down, he will sit in the pond trying to nab stray fish food. He is QUITE a little character!
Monty loves to chew on rawhides and bones. If he doesn't have any, he will look for other things to nibble on. To keep him safe, we crate him with his BFF when we go out. At night he sleeps in bed with us.
While Monty DOES love to cuddle, he is a very active dog who, first and foremost, LIVES TO PLAY! Because of this we are looking for a home with at least 1 other playful dog for him to romp with. We think he would be fine with cats but he hasn't been tested.
Monty is neutered and up to date on his shots, HW preventative and flea/tick preventative.
