Arrival Story:
I was lucky enough to find Jaeger when I contacted a GSD breeder in PA. I had been looking for a puppy for quite some time, and when I spoke with her, I mentioned that I was looking for a large, darkly colored male. It must have been my lucky day, because I was the first person to contact her about the litter, and the largest in the group was an almost all black male.
Bio:
Jaeger's parents (Gero v Rockenberger Schloss x Denisa z Pohranicni Straze) are both imports. His sire is 100% DDR, and his dam is 100% Czech; they both have good hips and are SchH titled.
Jaeger stands 27" at the withers and weighs approximately 95lbs. He's an exceptionally loving dog - very loyal and protective - but he's also very strong-willed, dominant, and independent. His drive is incredible. He's confident and very intelligent, and we were training him for SchH until his OFA report came back showing mild HD. While he exceled in the bitework, he is a bit harder to control and focus for obedience.
