Arrival Story:
I adopted Aussie from a wonderful family located 45 minutes away from me. His previous owners had just gotten two boxer puppies and Aussie and the puppies had to be kept separate which made it hard on Aussie since he likes to be out of the crate mainly.
His previous owners, rescued him through Saving Shelter Dogs of PA. He was found as a stray at 6 weeks old and in horrible condition. For the next few months, he was fed chicken noodle soup through a syringe and hooked up to IVs. He now is a perfectly healthy and happy dog and I love him very much.
Originally, everyone thought Aussie was an Australian Sheppard/husky mix so he was named first Blue, and then finally Aussie. However, I did some research and determined that he wasn't Australian Sheppard/husky but a Catahoula leopard dog/husky mix. I decided to still keep the name Aussie :)
