My Lil' Inquisiting Mind Wants to Know...July 31st 2010 7:02 am[ View A Comments (16) ]
I've been in this dogster place a little over a month now and I feel like I've been here furever.
Shood I stard, lil' Daisy??? Well, I r callded Zaidie cuz Momma wuz bornded wif a Jewish soul an' when dem wuz finkin' 'bout ged a Westie, Momma thot "Zaidie" be a gud name cuz if I wuz a boy, Zaidie r da Yiddish werd fur grandfather!! If I wuz a gurl, Zaidie be anuber form ob da name Sadie!! Hur thot it wuz da cutest lil' name whuteber I beed!!! An' I beeded a boy!!! Well, my pawrents read a lot, and they both read this book series called Dragonlance that they liked. In it there was a wizard named Fizban (my real full name). Fizban the wizard was old and gray and just as silly as could be, but in reality, he was super dooper smart, he just ACTED silly. Well, that's me. I can be really goofy sometimes, but I'm also really smart. Momma says I just hide my smartness sometimes ;) So that's why they picked my name! Fizzy is my nickname. Momma only calls me Fizban when I'm a little bit naughty! OMD! I have a lot of name to discuss...a whole line of my name...is that a record? Well, Basically I am Freckles, because when I was a teeny dude, my nose was very pink (!), but there was a little black dot on it. All my skin was very pink, too. The boss boy thought Freckles were on my snoot, so that was how ZI got that part of my name...but now my nose is all black...and there are just so many spots of black on my skin...that is where all the freckles are now! BOL! Kind of weird, that a white furred canine could have such black skin! Mr Jack was added by my growlmy to make me feel 'spawsial', and not just ordinary Freckles...Sir Lick-a-Lot is because that is what I am great at doing... All of you pals of mine can call me whatever fits your style! a lot say MJF, or Mr Jack or Sir Jack...or just Freckles...I like that one the best. Don't get my growlmy started on nicknames! BOL! My turn! Zoe is of Greek origin that means Life. That's me! Loving life! And full of it too. ;-) My name means "white meadow." It's a gaelic Scottish name and I'm a white Scottish pup! My mom was gonna name me Whitney but then she say Whitley and since her name ends with -ley she thought that was cuter. Well Daisy...in case you didn't know here's my story. Mama's mommy LOVED Charlie Brown and Snoopy. One of her favorite characters was Lucy, she loved how she tricked Charlie Brown every time with the football. Mama always wanted a beagle, and when she found me she named me after her. But Daisy...how 'bout you. Where did your name come from? Wow! Thanks everypup for sharing your story! So interesting to know why our peeps named us the way they did! Well, Lucy...Mama wasn't sure which name to pick for her next beagley pup. When I found her I was already named Daisy. Mama loved it! and she loved the way it match my personality. She said it was better to keep my name. A couple of days after I got to my new forever home Grandpa suggested Mama to change my name to...Gladys. Imagine! Gwampa!!! Dat r nod a name fur a cute lil' gurl pup!!! BOL!!! Well my name came from the little Rascals...there dog on there was Pete the pup and his one eye was all brown just like mine is, and his body all white, well maybe a brown patch here or there, But it was the whole eye thing, that they loved so much...so that's how I became Petey.. I got named Finley because it means "fair-haired warrior" and since I am a Westie, and I am white ( can't get any fairer than that!)-- well, it's the perfect name! Plus, my Momma likes Gaelic names... My name are Izzy because my Mama's furriend had her a kitty cat and her name was Kizzy. And Mama just loved to say the name cause it it's so cute,cute, cute, and sound like Kissy, Kissy, Kissy. And buzzy sound names are cute, Mama thinks. But her did not want to be a copycat, so she called me Izzy! But as you knowed, Mama went out of town furst weekend she gotted me, and left me with Papa and his furriends and they called me Jill, to be funny. Mama hates it, and Uncle Chris still calls me Jill to bug Mama. Did you know my original name in one of the many houses I got passed to and from was POLLY. So Izzy were once a Polly. And for a few days, JILL. My name is Sunny because Mom already had a cat named Moon and she wanted to get a yellow dog and name it Sun. I came from Alabama as a rescue pup and so mom said I should have a Southern middle name to honor my southern roots so she named me Sunny Lee and when me and Moon make her mad, she gets to yell "Moon and Sun!" BOL! Zaidie...BOL! good thing Mama didn't listen to grandpa. Something that Mama said was she thought of naming Lil' Daisy...Ethel. Ethel was Lucy's friend and neighbor on the 1950's show I Love Lucy. Imagine...BOL! Lucy and Ethel....eeewww I like Daisy better :) Petey...the little rascals...how cool! Finley...that is the perfect name. I say you're the fair-haired warrior of Texas! Izzy...I say your Mama are right! Izzy goes perfectly with your floofy ears. You're no Jill nor Polly. Sunny!!!! Yay! you found us! That's a cool warm name! Perfect for you! Mama says your smile is as bright as the sun, and that you love to swim. BOL, great question!!! Rudy is named Rudy cause Mama loved the name, and wanted the name before they even knew if da pup was going to be a girl or boy! Well, it was a girl, so we think it's a good (although uncommon) name for a girl - remember Rudy Huxtable on the Cosby show?! When we decided to get a 2nd pup, it was Mommy's turn to come up with the name, and she thought and thought, and decided on Izzy, again a name that could be for a boy or girl, but we got a girl, and we are so happy! Izzy is a perfect name for Izzy and Rudy is a perfect name for Rudy! Rudy Mama remembers the Cosby Show, she loved Rudy Huxtable! Rudy suits you perfectly! Izzy Mama had a boss whose nickname was Izzy. BOL! ;-) Mama's knows best! We have perfect names! OOOhhh ooohhh my turn! My Mommy named me Ebony because I's black & she thought Ebony sounded so pretty. Wrinkles (sniff, sniff...) got her name because she wrinkly and it was just a 'pawfect' cute name for a sharpei pup. |
