What great friends I have!
Thank you so much for the good wishes, gifts and rosettes on my gotcha-birthday day!
I'm so so lucky! I have a loving home, a great sister, a warm bed, non stop loving, a great Mama...OMD! So many blessings!

I know we haven't been around much but we still love Dogster a lot. Mama is still trying to deal with our schedules. We get really early in the morning, breakfast, walk, then she goes to work, then she comes home, then another walk, dinner and another long walk. LOL! We're making Mama walk her hearts content.

We love it here! There are so many sniffs to explore! Squirrels, birdies, bunnies, chipmunks.... etc etc etc. There's a big park next to our community. We love it! Mama takes us there almost everyday.

We have three friends next door - Max the big dog, Henley and Milly the cocker spaniels. We take walks together.

Did I mention that we had a doggie party! Oh yes! And it was fun! Fun! Fun!
Mama put a long tie out outside and we spent the afternoon outside mingling and playing with the neighborhood doggies.

Lucy even barked at a big German Sheperd Dog, her name is Faith, she was loose and running the place. Lucy put her in her place! LOL!

I love my life! It's awesome! And I'm grateful for all the blessings!
Love ya pals! Bark at you later!

...and what do I get?

Thanks to my pal Petey from PA I found out that I'm a Diary Pick for Today!
Yay! Thank you Petey!

For such a great honor a pup should get a special breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, juice and coffee. Or maybe some pancakes and sausages. But no! What do I get? Regular dry kibble! OMD! The nerve! I better fill a complaint from with the authorities.

Gotta go and keep Mama's feet warm she's complaining that it's cold. She's on what she calls vacation so she's home and I get to spend more time with her. Hmmm...maybe she'll make me some special treat for dinner today.

Bark at you later!

Happy New Year to all my pup pals and their peeps!
We wish you all the best year ever!
Tons of health, belly rubs, smooches from the peeps, treats and meatz.

We also hope that all of our furiends had a safe New Years eve with no incidents.
At Perez Casa all was quiet inside, but outside! oh boy! It was like a war zone. Firecrackers galore!
Mama had to give us some meds to help us calm down.
Lucy spent the night under the bed and I spent it barking my tail off. BOL! It wasn't until after midnight that the meds kicked in. The only good thing about last night was that I rang the New Year right next to Mama. She held me tight while all the peeps outside popped every single last firecracker. If she held me tight I would stop barking.

See you later! I'm off to sleep off last night's excitement.

We love our pals!
We love Dogster!
Happy New Year!

Yes! don't refresh your computer or read again. It's true! I have a new friend and his name is Elmo the Kitty.

He lives next door to us and today he came over for a visit. There's a hole in the fence and he fits through it.

Mama being the crazy lady that she is tried to catch him and ended up landing butt first on the mud...BOL! It was so funny! BOL! She was trying to catch Elmo to send him over the fence to his house, but eventually she gave up.

Lucy wasn't too impressed with Elmo and went inside.

I stayed outside playing with him. We ran around the yard in circles and we even hunted for lizzards. We had FUN! FUN! FUN!

Elmo The Kitty

Yes! I admit it Zaidie. My name is Daisy and I'm friends with Elmo the Kitty!

Nod 'dis day but yes' day was my birthday-gotcha day!

A year ago yesterday I came to live with Mama, Lucy and Grandpa and it has been the best year of my life.

And the best thing after coming to live here is having the best of friends here on Dogster. The best place on earth.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes, the pressies, the rosettes, the messages...OMD! So much love was given to me on my special day and for that I'm grateful. Thank you!

Mama says that since she didn't know the exact day and month that I came to this world, she decided to designate my Gotcha Day as my Birthday. How cool is that!

Yesterday I spent most of the day with Grandpa and Lucy. They made sure I got tons of love and attention on such a special day. Mama had to work really late, but when she got home she gave me lots of attention and snuggle time. She promised to make it up to me all weekend long...YAY!

Thank you everyone! A kiss from me with tons of love to all of you!

A beagley pin cushion

That's what Mama called me today.
Her beagley pin cushion.

My right leg has been acting up ever since I took Mama on our hiking trip.
She took me to my regular vet Dr. J.
He prescribed some Rimadyl and bed rest.
Ten days later I went back for a recheck.
Mama told Dr. J that I had stopped limping while taking the meds,
but once I stopped taking them I started limping again.

Our Vet doesn't like to give me a lot of drugs so he recommended Mama to take me to a vet that practices alternative medicine.

She found one and my first appointment was this morning.
Dr. Manny was really nice.
He examined me from snout to tail.
Asked Mama a lot of questions,
and Mama asked him a ton of questions too.

Dr. Manny says that I'm a neutral doggie.
That's 'cause I don't have a preference between cold or hot.
He recommended neutral foods to supplement my diet.

I don't care as long as I get food.

He also recommended a regimen that includes acupuncture sessions, herbal supplements and vitamins.

Pups, I was pinned from snout to tail.
Mama said I looked like a beagley pin cushion.
The dogtor was really impressed at how calmed I was.
After 10 minutes or years or something he took the pins off.

Then he gave me some shots of supplements to help make my hips stronger.
I didn't even feel them. Dr. Manny has a really good hand.

Mama is hopeful and confident that the treatment is going to work.

I left the office so relaxed that I slept all the way home.

I'm not overweight...I'm just chunky!

After our hiking trip I started limping and walking on three legs.
So on Saturday Mama took me to the dogtor.

When we got to the dogtor I had to step on the scale.
Oh boy! Such hoomiliation!

Then the dogtor examined me and he asked Mama some questions.

The diagnosis: a sprain on my right leg and overweight!

Geez! I'm only 27 pounds! I'm not overweight, I'm just a bit chunky and squeezable.

He prescribed some medication, ordered me to rest for ten days and put me on a diet!!!
So now I can't go on walks, I can't have treats and I'm eating diet food!

Yes pups! I did it!
Last Wednesday night I graduated from kindergarten.
Out of the seven pups that started only five of us finished.
I learned how to do sit, down, shake, loose leash walking, leave it and take it.
Now I have to practice so I don't forget.
I even got to wear a graduation cap.
Lucy's graduation is next week.

What a great week I had! Life is good!

My Eco Aventura Canina

Last Sunday I took Mama to a hiking trip.

We got up at the crack of dawn, had breakfast, loaded the explored bus and off we went.
After driving for what it seems like a bajillion hours or something we arrived at the meeting place.
There we met some pups and their peeps, we got a bag full of goodies and a banner to put on our bus.
The group was big. There were about 35 pups and 45 peeps.
Once everyone arrived off we went again.

Our hiking adventure took place at Hacienda Ochoa, located in the town of Naguabo, Puerto Rico. The Hacienda covers about 300 acres it has Paso Fino horses, cows, banana trees, a stream and a lake.

We hiked for 3 hours stopping at different areas for a break. We met a bull along the way. Some peeps and pups stopped and stared at him, but not me. I just kept on going.

Mama says I'm her little diva...BOL! That's 'cause I skipped every mud and cow poop pile that we came across. Other pups just went right through the mud and poop. Not me!

There were different kinds of pups, there were mutts, beagles, scotties, great danes, dobermans, a great pyrenees, boxers, pitties, golden retrievers, labs, schnauzers, chihuahuas, little dogs, small dogs, big dogs...all kinds.

There was Khalua a sweet beagle girl that was adopted by her peep that works with the beagle brigade at the airport sniffing for illegal fruits, plants and veggies. Mama said that was the coolest job evefur! You get to work not only with doggies but with beagles! Khalua's sister Lina is the one that works at the airport.

Then we met Coco, the Colombian beagle. He was a gorgeous tricolor beagle that knew all his tricks. His peeps were a nice young couple from Colombia. Whenever we stopped for a break Coco would start baying giving the signal to keep on moving. BOL! Everyone thought that was cute.

Bebe was another beagle. Poor Bebe! Mama felt so bad for the poor guy. He was only four years old, but he looked double that age. He was a bit overweight tipping the scale at about 50 pounds!!! That's a lot of weight for a 15-inch beagle. At the end of the hike he was so tired that he started leaning against his sister.

For me and Mama the highlight of the hike was when we reached the top of the hill and we got to admire the view. For some of the other pups it was the lake. Many pups took a swim alone or with their peeps.

At the end of the hike the peeps had lunch while us pups relaxed in our kennels. All of the pups were quiet, but not little me. I don't like to be alone inside my crate so I started howling and got the other pups to start barking...BOL! I may be little but I'm very vocal...BOL!

Me and Mama had an awesome time. She said that next time she'll bring Lucy along for the hike.

When we got home Lucy was waiting for us at the door. We spent the rest of the day playing with Mama.
It was a great day! Happy fun times!
