I got a new toy last night, a replacement for my favorite little cloth bone that was getting really ratty and icky. I was so excited; I’ve been carrying the bone around the house wherever I go. It fits in my mouth perfectly, and I love the squeaky noise it makes when I chomp up and down on it. If I take it to Daddy and drop it in his lap, he will throw it and I can run after it. It’s a fun game.

I have been really good lately and I think Mom and Dad are actually noticing. The plants in the living room are less tempting to me for some reason, so I haven’t been digging in the house. Of course, I like to play and dig outside, but they don’t get near as upset when I do that. I think I am better able to control myself now that I am 1. I am a big girl. =-) Mommy says I am a princess. HER princess. I’m not so sure Daddy agrees.

We have been going on lots of drives and walks, and I love that. The other day we were walking in a big field near our house and Daddy saw a pack of coyotes coming nearby. (Mom says a pack; Dad says there were only 3). I wasn’t on a leash and hadn’t actually seen them, so Daddy reached down and picked me up. If I had seen them, I’m pretty sure I would have chased them and given my Mom a heart attack.

Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and Mommy’s secret pug pal sent me a collar charm that says “Lucky Dog” and has a little green stone in it. I love it. I wore it all day yesterday so nobody could pinch me. And, Mom started the day by giving us all greenies so we would have green in our tummies. My Mom is silly, isn’t she?

It's My Birthday!

It’s my birthday! Today, I am 1 year old! Can you believe it?

Mom and Dad had a little birthday party for me yesterday. Flora and Winston came over to help me celebrate. I love it when they come over to play. I got to open presents and we all had a special cake Mommy made for me. Mommy even lit a yellow candle on my cake and when she was holding me near it for a picture, I snorted and blew it out. Everyone laughed and clapped.

Flora and Winston brought me a whole bag of greenies and a stuffed crab toy. Mommy and Daddy gave me a bumble bee toy; some white chocolate covered dog treats, and a bandana to wear. I felt spoiled and special.

On Saturday, we went to Puggietine. I love going to pug events. I love to run and play with the other pugs. There were a lot of pugs there! Boy, I was sure tired when we left.

This morning Mommy told me that I could have another piece of birthday cake tonight, since today is my “real” birthday. I cannot wait!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Almost my birthday!

My birthday is coming! I am going to be 1 year old on Valentines Day, which is in just 5 days! I saw a present in my Mom and Dad’s bedroom that looked like a birthday present; I think it may be for me!
My Mom says she is sad to see my puppy hood passing by, but I am guessing she won’t miss some of the puppy stuff I’ve done. (Chewing, housetraining issues, craziness!)

We are going to a pug party on Saturday, to celebrate Valentines Day. I really wish it were just a birthday party for me. =-)

I love going to pug parties. I run around and play non-stop. Raisin sometimes wants to sit on Mom’s lap and watch the excitement, but I don’t have time for that. I want to socialize. I want to play. I want to be petted. I want to make pug friends!

Daddy is still in St. Louis and I miss him. I’ve heard his voice in the phone nearly every night, but it’s not quite the same. I can’t wait to see him. Mom says he comes home Friday night. I want to be extra good and not get into the plants so he’s very proud of me on Friday.
