Arrival Story:
My name is Jaime-Ann and this is how Binkles found us. I was at home on bedrest; I was 7 months pregnant having the worst complications. The only thing on TV was Katrina news. I was depressed and huge. I remember my husband went downstairs to throw out the trash at the complex trash bin. He was gone awhile, but I figured he was talking to someone. He came up a while later and told me to come to the window to see something. Confused, I rolled up out of the couch and made my way to the window. It was very overcast and kind of cool out. The sun was not shining except for one tiny patch that seemed to shine straight down on to the tiniest little dog ever! I love dogs! I made my way down the stairs to see the lil' guy. There were some people out there trying to get him but he kept scampering off, scared, cold, hungry. I sat down on the curb and called to him; oddly enough he came running over to me like he knew me and propped himself up on my giant, pregnant, stomach. Shaking from being cold and scared he would not leave my arms. He seemed to try and hide from any male that approached him to the point of whimpering and trying to burrow in my shirt. He was my companion through the remaining weeks of pregnancy and has been an amazing asset to my life and family ever since! PS - he still hates men and flips out if they approach me while walking him. Is it wrong that I don't want to fix that? =)
