Arrival Story:
Logan was adopted through Old Dog Haven, an org that rescues dogs 8yrs and older. He is a cockapoo...he is at least 15 if not older. He was abandoned and was in need of surgery on his head for a huge growth. We took care of that and he is doing great. He was very scared and a bit lost at first but he is doing beautifully now. He has blossomed into a wonderful dog. He adores his Daddy and waits patiently at the back door for him to arrive home from work. We have had him for 4 months and have yet to hear him bark. He does a squeak when he is happy. He has arthritis in his back legs and had difficulty coming up stairs. He has to be one of the sweetest dogs around. Logan has now had 3 surgery's to remove a reoccurring growth on his forehead. His ears are a bit closer now and he looks much younger, move over Joan Rivers. He is doing well, We finally heard him bark when a neighbors dog came into our house via the pet door to our surprise. He has a deep beautiful bark.

Bio:
Logan now has 3 inoperable tumors...besides being a very fragile 17 yrs old. It is very difficult but we take every day as a gift. He is getting more tired as of late but he still wags his tail and has a great appetite and there is a joy for life in his eyes. We watch for any signs of pain or discomfort but so far he is good. We love him dearly.

I can not express my gratitude for all the wonderful messages and gifts for our precious Logan. He was an angel in life as he is in death. Thank you all for being such careing and understanding friends. As I read each message, I was touched. I know some people don't understand what we all feel about our babies but that is what makes us a special group. It has indeed made it a bit easier. I miss him being at my feet waiting for a treat or slopping water around in his bowl as was his habit...hehe. All the little things that made him such a love. My tears have turned from pain to feelings of love at all my memories. There will always be tears when I think of him or see a picture or just miss him being on his bed. The loss is still new but as so many have reminded me, he will always be in my heart. Thank you all.

This afternoon our precious Logan was released from his frail little body to run free over the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him so much, the cute way he wagged his tail, how he waited at the door when we left and came home from a short shopping trip and the way he looked when he wanted a treat. We took him outside before we left for the vets office and he sniffed everything and even as ill as he was, there was a joy to every little thing he did. How we will get through this loss is difficult to even fantom. He was such a large part of our lives. Even at 17 yrs there was a lot of puppy still in him. We mourn the loss. Everywhere we look, he is still there...we are so lost right now.
I want to thank everyone for being so kind and careing.

Well, today it has been 2 years since I came to live with my mom and dad. I sure looked a site. I had a big tumor on the top of my head and someone just left me at a shelter. I think they loved me cause I am a very sweet fella, my mom says so. I just think they didnt have the money to fix me. Well, mom and dad took me and loved me and fixed my head 3 times now...but this time I cant be fixed. I am just so happy they found me....going to the vet in a few days and will see what he says. This thing is the size of a tennis ball.
I just am so glad to be here every day. I went for a walk, short one, today. I got an extra treat and a toy. I am one lucky pup.
