Arrival Story:
Chevy was the answer to so many things for me! At the time when I met Chevy, what I needed was someone to pick up the things that I dropped, carry my books and things and be my canine companion ;). Chevy happened to need a home as she had not developed her beard and eyebrows as the breeders had hoped and so they could not breed her. They had fallen in love with Chevy and would not let her go to any home at all but when they heard that I needed help and saw that we were becoming fast friends, they asked if I would be interested in her. They knew Chevy was meant to do great things and they were right! Although Chevy was good at obedience, she needed to learn specialized ways of helping me so off she went to spend a month with another trainer who had trained service dogs before and when she came back she was not only my friend but my trusted assistant! Chevy and I fell in love again that day when I picked her up and the rest is history. Who couldn't fall in love with those eyes!!??

Bio:
Chevy came to me at a time when I needed her help....and her love. I will be forever grateful to the Leidenschaft kennel for having brought Chevy into my life as she is my constant companion, my helping hand and one of the loves of my life! :) She accompanies me every day and works hard for me but when she gets out of school on Friday.........she plays just as hard with her doggie sisters!!!! She is a great girl!!

Obedience Fun Match

Dear Diary,

I was in my first obedience fun match on Sunday! It was great! My mobility assistance trainer asked mom if he could take me in the ring and try my obedience and she said yes, so he did. I was in Novice B and qualified in every part of it EXCEPT.........someone came up behind me and tried to touch my butt! I am not kidding! She wanted to come up, put her hand on my back, run it down my back leg without me moving. Yeah, right! I don't think so, sister! I mean, I put up with the walking around in front of people, I really like the loooooooooong down and stuff but when you start getting fresh, well, that's another whole cup of tea! Anyway, so she and I agreed that it was not appropriate and then she disqualified me! Man, talk about a sore loser! Anyway, it was fun other than that and I think I would like to do it again. Depends on where people put their hands. Gotta jet! Talk to you later, Diary.

I'M A REAL FLYBALL DOG NOW!! Yesterday was my first day at tournament and I got points! It was so much fun and I got to catch that ball that I love so much. Okay, so I got a little over excited and I had to calm down but, man, is it great! Today we have the second part of our tournament and I am hoping to do even better. Keep good thoughts for me and I know I will be great. We have the bestest team in the whole world and everyone is rooting for us. Will write again later! Awwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooo! Dear Diary,

Okay, you are not going to believe this! We went to flyball last week and the trainers there said that I am going to be in my first tournament on March 19 in Halifax, Nova Scotia!!! Can you believe that? Who knew that running after a ball was going to make me a star? I just wanted to catch the thing!! Anyway, we are going to drive to Halifax and stay in a hotel and mom is going to take my sister, Myla, cuz she is in flyball too but she is not going to be in this tournament. I am sooooooo happy cuz I love Myla and I was not looking forward to being there without her. Maybe next tournament Myla will race as well! So, now I have to go and get some rest. We have practice tonight and I have to be at my best! This is all soooooooo exciting!!! :)
