Arrival Story:
We adopted Gimmel from a vet in Mexico City in late March. Since we got him through a family member, we did not know about the requirements for carriers for the airlines. Our family member purchased a hard cover case, so poor Gimmel was required to go under the plane in cargo. Within 3 weeks, Gimmel's ears stood up, and he has lost his first puppy coat. He is apparently allergic to his 2nd bag of dog food. We thought it was because we gave him a rawhide bone which he absolutely loves, but would devour in short order, then he began throwing up about the same time we tried a different dog food. We have stopped giving him this second dog food and gone to Iams puppy food and he has not had problems since. We don't know why he is not as "fluffy" as when we first got him but are hoping that this is just due to the shedding. He has become quite a handsome puppy in the 2 months that we have had him. I have tried the AKC and the UKC for registration but neither will accept him. We don't have any paperwork on his pedigree or his biographical information and we probably won't be able to get any either.
