How To Adopt:
If you are interested in adopting any of our rescued Boxers please fill out the Adoption Application at WWW.BLUERIDGEBOXERRESCUE.COM

Requirements to Adopt:
Applicant(s) must be 21 years of age / Applicant(s) must be able to assist with transport of your new dog / Applicant(s) must agree to a homevisit and follow-up homevisit / All personal pets must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and on heartworm prevention./ Adopted boxers are required to be kept on heartworm prevention and current on vaccines for the duration of their lives./ Boxers will only be adopted to indoor homes.

Adoption Fees:
Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue's adoption fee is between $250 & $350, unless otherwise noted. All of our Boxers are fully vetted (including:neuter/spay, rabies vaccine, HW test, dhlpp vaccines, fecal and worming) as well as treated for any injuries or illnesses prior to adoption. All of our Boxers are on heartworm prevention.

Please Note:
Details on individual dogs will not be discussed until we have received and approved your application and your home visit. After both of these requirements are met a Representative will contact you and answer any questions you may have.

We only adopt our boxers to indoor homes located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virgina - Thank you for considering adopting from Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue

Hi, my name is Buddy, and everybody
needs a buddy, right? Most of my history is a mystery (I can even rhyme).
I was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan who did the best they could
for me. But I had quite a few health issues to begin with so I got to stay
with some other kind people. Then my foster home opened up with BRBR.
When my foster mom picked me up from the hospital after having surgery to
repair my perineal hernia, she had to double-check that I was the right dog.
She said I had way too much energy for a 7-9 year old dog. She was amazed
though when we got to her house and I found a nice soft place to lie down.
Then I just curled up and went to sleep, which is what I do most of the
time when I am with my people. I don’t like to be separated from my people
and really don’t like to be crated. My foster mom keeps trying to reassure
me that everything is okay and that she is coming back for me. However, I
still have trouble believing it, but she says she won’t give up. I am hopefully
going to start my heartworm treatment soon. Then I will be all set to move
on to my forever home. Just let me know if you think it should be with you!

Hi, I am Buddy the Boxer. I am approx 7-9 yrs old.
I was found by a nice lady who saved me. I was lost and l Have a microchip but its not registered to my owners :(
I am a smart boy who knows how to sit, give paw, lay down and I am working on stay. I am good with other dogs, I have even had some growl at me and I didn't react, I just want to be everyones friend! I dont have any food to toy aggression either but I love to snuggle and play. Although I'm an older man I have to admit I still have a lot of life to live and I really want a family of my own! I will require being on thyroid medicine the rest of my life (it doest cost much every month) and I need to be treated for heartworms (were wroking on getting that started soon). If you intersted in meeting me please put your application in with BRBR ASAP. I am the man for you!
