Birthday: March 24th 2010 Likes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, playing, learning new tricks and meeting new people. Pet-Peeves: When people do not give her belly rubs. Favorite Toy: Dandy, all of her toys, all of Dandy's toys, and her cats. Favorite Food: Charlie likes everything. She doesn't get it very often, but loves ham. Favorite Walk: Around the neighborhood, through Pet Supplies + and PetsMart. Best Tricks: High five, up, sit, speak, shake, stay. She waits very politely by her bowl for her meal. Learns everything after the first couple of times showing her what to do. Arrival Story: We wanted to get a new friend for Dandy since her pal Lucky went to the Rainbow Bridge in December and she seemed to miss having another dog around. We were looking mostly for a lab mix, but when we met this little girl, we knew we'd been picked to be her people! She was an owner surrender - a kind soul took in her mom, who was pregnant, but he was a little overwhelmed when she had 6 puppies. She was with her siblings in a puppy play pen. When we approached, she came over and did not leave. She wanted our attention so bad, and she got it. We took her out of the pen and she was just a lovebug. We had no choice but to take her home. Bio: Charlie has only been in her new home a couple of days. She cried some the first night, but slept through the second night just fine. She has a lot to learn but seems to figure things out pretty fast. Update: Charlie is going on 9 months old now. She is very active but has worked out most of her "puppy crazies". She is extremely smart, listens well and usually learns new tricks within a couple of minutes. She loves children and anyone who will rub her belly. I've Been On Dogster Since:
I am one year old now. I had a great birthday. I got to go to the store and pick out stuff for ME! Dandy and I played and played, then we both got hamburgers and belly rubs. I LOVE hamburgers and belly rubs! What a perfect day.
Mom gave me a bath! I cried and cried! I was so scared I got hiccups. Dandy came in, but when she saw I was in the bath tub and all wet, she turned around and walked straight out and got on her bed. It was horrible! All that dirt.... all that dirt I've been saving and packing into my coat, gone, just gone. I've been rolling in the dirt for weeks now and my collection was growing beyond anything I'd ever imagined. Now I'll have to start all over again. And I stink now, too. As a final insult, my tail went all straight. Mom promised to get some 'Curl Enhancer Oatmeal Dog Shampoo' for next time. Wait... NEXT TIME...????!!!!!!
The toys always squeak when Dandy has them. When I have them, they're quiet (but still fun!). Last night I was attacking my blue elephant and felt this weird bump in it, so I bit it - really hard - raaaaaah! And it squeaked! I was so excited that I kept doing it. I showed Dandy what I could do, then I showed Mom and my Aunt. They were excited too - squeak, squeak, SQUEAK!!!
