Arrival Story:
My boyfriend at the time and I finally got an apartment that allowed dogs and I very much wanted a dog, and he agreed. I originally had my heart set on a collie/husky mix that I had visited a couple times, and when I went to adopt her they couldn't let me have her because PetSmart wanted her for their adoption center. :( We tried everything to get her...we offered to pay double, showed up when the pet smart people did to offer to adopt her right there, tried to ask them where she would be up for adoption at, and they refused to even tell us what pet smart she would be at. I was completely heart broken and a couple weeks later we decided to go back to the shelter on a whim. When we got there, in the very first kennel was this BEAUTIFUL white dog. At first when we looked at him he just stayed curled up and looked at us. The second time he did the same. But when we came back a third time he picked up his head, wagged his tail and came to his door to lick our hands. We didn't know how a dog this gorgeous could be in a shelter, but we found out he has been there since he was a puppy, and had been returned 3 times, twice for being a runner and once repossessed for neglect. We took him home that day and have loved him ever since.

Another seizure

Today he had another seizure (it would be his third.) He seemed to get done with it just as we got home, around 2:40.

I again cannot pinpoint any similarities between this one and others. I do know the weather has been very hot lately, and he was exposed to hotter than normal temperatures for about 3 days. Monday everything was normal (he was home with us here,) except for a sudden nasty thunderstorm. He also had been very tired and quiet, but I attribute that to all the exercise he got this weekend, Angel was also very tired (and if Angel is tired....EVERYONE's tired, lol.) He did have a 3 hourish trip back home, as well as to Erie friday night. He seemed to behave normally all through the trip to erie.

In erie everything seemed to be normal, he got food and water as normal. I know my parents didn't have any chemical type stuff out because they have three dogs of their own, which all seemed perfectly healthy.

So, I dunno what caused it. He seemed to recover just as quickly as he did before, with a new symptom, he was completely unable to use his tail for the first ten minuets, but soon he was wagging it as normal.

Seizures

I just wanted to keep an entry on his diary so I can remember the dates of his seizures easier for when we talk to the vet.

His first one was on november 5th, 11 hours after we applied advantix. Because of this we assumed it was the meds.

But, he had another one on May 29th. There was no real change in food or habits, other than he was much clingyer than normal.

I'll write more later, tired tonight.
