Arrival Story: This is my daughters dog and story:
Having searched for a couple of years for the right dog, with many met, one adopted who had to be returned for aggressive biting of men and trying to attack the cats, I was beginning to give up hope. But my neighbor girl told me about the rescue where they got their dog, called Tailwaggers911 that is based just outside of town. They find good dogs that are in high kill shelters around the midwest and south, bring them back up and foster them until they find good homes. I fell in love with his picture, filled out an application and waited to hear. He was at a local pet store with other dogs from the rescue as an "open house". I really fell in love then. So did he. :) I sat on the floor and he came to lie down in my lap.
He was adopted by another family who got their application about an hour before mine, so he went there first, but their cats started peeing everywhere so they took him back to the rescue. It took a lot of begging and pleading, but I finally got to bring him home. (They were afraid of it didn't work with my cats) Anyway, after fostering him for 3 weeks, it finally became official. Even though I told them I wanted to adopt him within the first 36 hours. lol Picked him up March 21st, 2010, adopted mid april.
He's been a blessing and a dear. Still a puppy, but so loving and sweet (when he's not chewing.)

Bio: He was found in an abandoned warehouse with his litter mates (and possibly his mama too). They were all covered in fleas, ticks, mites and had worms. (thankfully not heartworm) He also had a string tied around his tail where someone was apparently trying to crop his tail.
