Arrival Story:
We found Chief wandering down a road in the town we live in. He was pitifully wet as it was down pouring rain. We called to him and he ran right to our car. Getting him in the car was another story because he was terrified of it. We did manage to get him in the car. We took him to the vet and he is only about two years old and he is in a battle with heartworm. I alone could not afford the treatment for heartworm, but I am already attached to the dog so my vet helped me to work out a solution our local humane society treats heartworm positive dogs and makes them adoptable. I am going to foster him and then adopt him after he is treated. Now heartworm FREE!!!!
