I DID IT!! I just knew that I could do it! On Saturday, September 10th, I lined up 4 feet back from that start line and I DID IT!! My momma said "Reeeeady..............." and I pushed off from her legs and down the racing lane I went. I went pretty fast too if I say so myself. I jump the first jump, then the second, then the third and finally the fourth. Amanda was calling for me the entire time. I hit the box and got my ball then I turned and saw everyone and I mean EVERYONE, cheering me on. I saw Momma Sue, I saw Samm, I saw Andrea and Blaise, I saw Jen and Fling, and I saw Lindsay and Brock. Maryanne and Zoe were cheering me on off to the side too. I think I even heard Marie yelling all the way from Fredericton!! So as quickly as I could, I ran straight back to Momma. She was running away from me so I had to go fast!! When I got to her though, she was soooooooo happy!!! I think she was even crying a bit.
So then...we got to do it again!! And even I third time!! It sure was fun and everybody was so happy for me. Thanks Zoe for my membership into the Height Dog Union and all my certificates. And thanks OverRovers for a great tournament and all your help in making me an offical "Flyball Dog"!!

A little steam engine had a long train of cars to pull.
She went along very well till she came to a steep hill. But then, no matter how hard she tried, she could not move the long train of cars.
She pulled and she pulled. She puffed and she puffed. She backed and started off again. Choo! Choo!
But no! the cars would not go up the hill.
At last she left the train and started up the track alone. Do you think she had stopped working? No, indeed! She was going for help.
"Surely I can find someone to help me," she thought.
Over the hill and up the track went the little steam engine. Choo, choo! Choo, choo! Choo, choo! Choo!
Pretty soon she saw a big steam engine standing on a side track. He looked very big and strong. Running alongside, she looked up and said:
"Will you help me over the hill with my train of cars? It is so long and heavy I can't get it over."
The big steam engine looked down at the little steam engine. The he said:
"Don't you see that I am through my day's work? I have been rubbed and scoured ready for my next run. No, I cannot help you,"
The little steam engine was sorry, but she went on, Choo, choo! Choo, choo! Choo, choo! Choo, choo!
Soon she came to a second big steam engine standing on a side track. He was puffing and puffing, as if he were tired.
"That big steam engine may help me," thought the little steam engine. She ran alongside and asked:
"Will you help me bring my train of cars over the hill? It is so long and so heavy that I can't get it over."
The second big steam engine answered:
"I have just come in from a long, long run. Don't you see how tired I am? Can't you get some other engine to help you this time?
"I'll try," said the little steam engine, and off she went. Choo, choo! Choo, choo! Choo, choo!
After a while she came to a little steam engine just like herself. She ran alongside and said:
"Will you help me over the hill with my train of cars? It is so long and so heavy that I can't get it over."
"Yes, indeed!" said this little steam engine. "I'll be glad to help you, if I can."
So the little steam engines started back to where the train of cars had been standing. Both little steam engines went to the head of the train, one behind the other.
Puff, puff! Chug, choo! Off they started!
Slowly the cars began to move. Slowly they climbed the steep hill. As they climbed, each little steam engine began to sing:
"I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I think I can - I think I can - I think I can I think I can--"
And they did! Very soon they were over the hill and going down the other side.
Now they were on the plain again; and the little steam engine could pull her train herself. So she thanked the little engine who had come to help her, and said good-by.
And she went merrily on her way, singing:
"I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I thought i could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could I thought I could --"
THE END

*Whew* I think that momma and me are finally caught up on our rest. I was just too tired yesterday to get my feelings together and jot them down. Anyway, today I feel better sooooooo here we go...
1. I am very proud of the OverRovers Flyball Team. We participated in our first tournament for the year and boy, it was GREAT! My sissy Chevy earned her first title in flyball, FD. WAY TO GOOOOOO CHEVY!!!! So too did Zoe and Custer~I am very happy for them! Blaise and Brock were as steady and consistent as always...they ROCK!!! My Aussie pup pal, Fling got shook up a bit when she realized that the hurdle was knocked down but I know her mom will get things straightened out and she will be back!
2. As for me this past weekend, I got a trif bored when Chev and the rest were out racing. Sooooooooooo, I ditched that ole ex-pen and made a run for it. LOL!!! Opppps.....I ended up right in the middle of the flyball racing lanes!! That man in the black and white striped shirt started to blow his whistle and everyone was looking at me! Then I thought everything was ok cuz I saw momma and momma Sue and then Chevy but.....I don't think momma was too happy. Oh well, momma just picked me up and put me in Brock's crate and I got to visit with everybody later. It was a very, very funny moment!!!!
3. I will continue to work hard on carrying the ball back to momma. Really that is what has been holding us back from continuing on cuz I don't mind that darn box nor the hurdles. So I will just keep trying.
Well as you can see, we had a very busy weekend. I look forward to our next tourney in Sackville, New Brunswick on April 23 & 24th! :) "LIFE IS GOOD!"
