Being wherever I am.
Cats who claw furniture or approach me while I am sleeping.
Mojo Jojo the Beanie Monkey
Masuman (Thai Beef Stew)
To the building where my car is parked.
When the cat claws the furniture, she will come barrelling out of wherever she happens to be and will make the cat stop. I think she's heard me go off on the cat once too often.
I was looking for a companion dog for my daughter and came across a listing for Beth, who was being given away. She had some health problems, and I honestly believe her breeder thought she wouldn't survive long.
Within a few months of getting her, she started alerting me to oncoming migraines by stropping herself across my face if I was relaxing on the couch or in bed. Over time I realized she was picking up on something in my body chemistry some 30 to 45 minutes before a migraine would strike.
Over time, she has also 'adopted' other duties, such as getting me into bed at a reasonable hour, which seems to me to be about 1am. She jumps on me and then off again, scampering to the bedroom door and staring at me until I acquiese. If I dawdle, she wuffs at me until I hit the sack.
Medical Alert Service Dog.
While she's a (relatively) "normal" dog off-leash, when she's vested, she's completely dedicated to her job and is decidedly un-Chihuahua-like in her attitude.
