Arrival Story:
A few months ago,November of 2009 we experienced a very very sad loss of one of our dearest canine friends. We said after that, that we would have no more dogs, but we just couldn't live without such a loyal friend. So we took our time to grieve (we still grieve) and then we decided the first place we would look was at the westland humane society. Why buy a dog from a breeder when so many others need loving homes? So we looked on petfinder.com: Low and behold we saw polly. She looked perfect so we planned to go meet her 3 days later,and so we did. She had kennel cough at the time, but all we had left at the time were(are)cats and its very rare the infection is contagious to them, so the kennel cough didn't intimidate us a lot. They brought her into a room with my daughter and I and immediately polly interacted so well with us, carly especially. She jumped up on carlys lap, kissed her, let her hug on her, pet her, etc. She even sniffed at the bottom of the door to try and get to my mom and my sister amy! So we gave it some thought and before the staff came to check on us we decided polly was the match for us. So i pulled her cage card, filled out all of the paperwork and got all set with everything. The moment the released polly to us, she dragged us to and out the door as if to say "come on guys, lets go home". She has been a true blessing here. She is very loyal and reliable, caring, and comforting in hard times. She is like my little shadow, and has such cute and funny habits. I love this beagle so much, and she's so good to my daughter. She's a life long companion. I love you polly peepers!
