Arrival Story: Before Sora joined our family, I lost a lot of sleep over her. She belonged to my grandmother's neighbor, and was kept tied to a tree in all kinds of weather. When we tried to talk to the neighbor, she obliged. Sora was given a garbage can turned over on its side.
We would often venture as close as we dared and throw food to her. Then one day the neighbor moved and left Sora behind . . . tied to a tree. We made our move and brought Sora home. This was no easy task. At this point Sora didn't trust anybody.
Long story short, Sora is a healthy, happy dog. She now has a large yard to run and play in, and she has a family who loves her very much. (By the way, my daughter named Sora.)
