Favorite Food: Anything the humans are eating. Favorite Walk: Walk? I'd rather run! Best Tricks: I can discreetly hide an item in my mouth - such as a pair of underwear or a sock, and sneak outside without my people catching on. Today we lost The Cutest Dog Ever, Catori James Fitzsimmons. Catori struggled with chronic auto-immune problems through his 8 years, sadly ending today with liver failure. Catori loved every person he ever met, outran every dog at the dog park, talked non-stop, & loved car rides and walkies. He was a great comforter and snuggler. He was sensitive and silly and made people smile and laugh every day. He will be missed beyond belief, I'm not sure what we'll do without this guy. Our house is very quiet tonight. The hole in me caused by the stick is almost completely healed up! Still popping pills though, and I've become an expert at spitting them out no matter what they are wrapped in or how far hu-mom sticks them down my throat! BOL!
I am still chasing squirrels, but not with quite the enthusiasm as before. Somehow they used their powers to injure me... I am planning my revenge!
The vet says I am looking good, and that I look like a sunflower. All the vet staff were extra friendly today. They all wanted to giggle at my e-collar get-up. My drainage tube is out, what was left of it anyway.
The vet reiterated that I was very, very lucky. He said the stick was about 1/8" away from hitting a major artery. Hu-mom gave me a big hug.
