Arrival Story:
Greta was adopted on New Years Eve 2008. the adoption agency estimated her age at 12 weeks. Two days after her adoption She had her first Vet appointment. Her new Vet took one look at her and estimated her age at 5 weeks! The next evening she was admitted to the local emergency Vet with distress breathing. She was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia. Greta then spent the next two weeks hospitalized and fighting for her life. Her regular vet spent countless hours caring for her & was hopeful that she'd pull thru even though he suspected we were dealing with kennel cough, and distemper as well as the pneunomia. After two weeks She came home a whole lot skinnier & feeling much better.Since then she has thrived & grown into a beautiful dog. She loves to play ball & Frisbee. She is now in training for her first rally competetion in June. She can be a handful but as long as she has a job she is a wonderful dog, that had a really rough start to life.
