This weekend.

My foster mom and I did 2 adoption events this weekend. It was hot and boy are we pooooooped!

On Saturday we participated in a Meals on Wheels for pets. The group we went to help was collecting pet food for families that need help getting and affording food for their pets. It was cool, helps keep us fury guys out of that awful place I came from.

On the way home my foster mom had to drop off some of the other adoptable dogs to their foster home. Mom left me in the car for 2 minutes with the keys in the ignition so the air was at least blowing. Well, in that 2 minutes I got bored. First I turned on the window wipers.. then I guess I locked the car or something. Next thing I know a bunch of people were standing around the car looking really worried and were poking big wires through the window. A tow truck got called... sheesh.. that was a little more excitement then I was looking for. Plus it was starting to get HOT in there. They got the door open pretty quick, but dang, a car gets hot fast when it is so warm out. My foster mom and I made a pact, I would not lock the door and she is not gonna leave me in the car with the keys in it. I mean, I am just a dog. I did not know any better. Well, I am still resting up from a busy weekend, so I am gonna go. Talk to you guys soon!!

My surgery..

I got spayed on Friday. When I came home I felt like POOP!! My foster mom tried to give me a tiny bit of water that night... I threw it all up. So then we went to tablespoon sips of water... ugh. Even that was hard, but mom was scared I was going to get dehydrated. The doctor said I was supposed to be able to eat a little by that night... nooooo way! I looked like a pathetic little mess.

I am feeling way way better now. I am still not allowed to play with my foster siblings until the end of the week.. but I am on the up and up. I do get to take wonderful family naps though. I love it. Snuggle Snuggle Snuggle!!! It sure as heck beats living outside.. sigh. This is the life. Now I just gotta find my very own home and family. I can't wait. :) :)

NPO after midnight...

NPO means I cant eat or drink anything. Its some stupid nursing lingo that my foster mom thinks is so cute to use on me. I find absolutely nothing funny about it. I have to have surgery tomorrow and boy am I scared! I am getting my baby making machine removed. I have been assured that it is going fine, but still, it is scary. The good thing is my days of birthing puppies is over. AARF recently found out that I was being kept in a crate on someone's porch and being breed. Babies havin' babies... stupid! Back yard breeding.. also stupid!

Anyway, I am going to go have my last sips of water and maybe a quick snack. I will let everyone know how things go when I am feeling up to it. Wish me luck!!!
