Birthday: October 1st 2004 Arrival Story: Ava has spent her entire life helping train staff who work in biomedical research - help them learn how to draw blood, for example! Her time as a "training dog" is now over and she is getting ready for her retirement! Woo-hoo! Bio: Ava is described by her foster homes as a "sweet little peanut!" :)
Everyone who meets Ava loves her. She keeps her crate clean, and will do business in the backyard on a tie out as well as on leash. She is working on her housetraining. :) She loves to play with dog toys and happily greets dogs - no matter how large!!
Ava will go into her crate and lay down, and we think she finds comfort there. She'll also sleep by her foster mom's feet when she works on the computer. We think Ava would do best in a home with another dog. A home with young children would be too much for Ava, but older, calmer children might be OK. Ava still startles easily, however, she gets over it as quickly as she startles. :) Ultimately, Ava LOVES PEOPLE AND ATTENTION FROM PEOPLE. . I've Been On Dogster Since:
