Arrival Story:
Our friend told us about this one pup left from a litter who still needed a home. He was a mess. 3 months old and never been in a car or had a bath or anyone to be kind to him. He had parvo, 4 kinds of worms and skin disease his first year of life. Through all that we nursed him through, he bonded with us and went from a terrified puppy to a happy, friendly, outgoing dog who loved life and everyone that he met.

Bio:
Bandit was a constant companion for almost 10 years. Even kidney disease at age 7 failed to slow him down much. He went everywhere we went, loved everyone, and everyone loved him back. An encounter with a possum left him with an inoperable hernia and we had to make the decision to help him to the bridge. We miss you, big guy!

Good news! Zoey has a furever home!

Mama has been checking regularly to see if the rescue group had found a home for Zoey yet, and they finally did! She has been with them since October and mom is so furry happy that she was finally adopted! They had some lovely new pictures of her and mom says she will make her a page with them as soon as she feels better. She has had a really bad cold lately.

Zoey's adoption listing

(adopted - January)

This is little Zoey's listing. Mama heard from the shelter and they told her she's with a local rescue group called Passion for Pooches. She e-mailed them and the lady said she's happy and has made a new doggie friend; she didn't have other dogs to play with, here. They will be keeping her until they find someone who is a good match. If you are in the Arkansas/Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana border area, the rescue group is in Nash, Texas. Mama wishes she could have a new home for Christmas. If anyone can help we would appreciate it.

OMG - DDP - not really a good time for this

Mom just got up and saw I was a daily diary pick today. This upset her because she had just written about having to re-home Zoey and maybe the cats. Now those people who were so mean to her on here before will probably start leaving ugly comments again and she will have to delete my page too. Why can't they at least have someone read those things before they publish the DDP? This is not a good time for our family. We really do not want everyone on Dogster reading about our problems and commenting on them, who do not even know us. If it gets too bad I guess this time we'll just delete the whole account and be done with it. It hasn't been much fun for anyone since they made all those changes back in April. It's different here now, and not fun for Mama anymore. Thanks for the honor guys, but it came at a bad time. Mama is missing Zoey too much right now to care about my Daily Diary Pick. She does not understand why Daddy has to work 2 and sometimes 3 jobs, but we can't make our tax payments on time, afford her health insurance or one little bitty dog. And she may not be able to afford the two cats much longer, either.
