Max has a background of abuse and neglect. He was in a no-kill shelter for over a year where he was considered "unadoptable" since he was extremely shy and reclusive. He came to us a foster to see if we could get him to come out of his shell. The rest is history - we all fell in love with him! And, yes, he has come out of his shell (mostly!)
