I live in Wyckoff, NJ with a mom, dad and two human brothers, Taylor and Kyle. Life in this NJ suburb is pretty good. I have a big yard to play in, a wide assortment of animals to chase (bunnies, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, birds and turtles) just to name a few. I spend most days at home with my mom. She doesn't work anymore and enjoys spending time with me. I used to have a brother dog "Tonka" a German Shepherd but he went to doggy heaven last month at 10 years old. I love chasing my tennis ball, swimming (sometimes), eating shrimp and cheese and getting my picture taken. I don't have any other Yorkie friends right now. Just a Basset Hound named H.T. Wentworth, a black Lab named Katie, and a cousin named Jasmine (she's a white Golden Retriever puppy,). I enjoy visiting the doggy websites and reading all the cute stories. That's all for now...

Well, I'm a Yorkie with lots of character. I wouldn't win any dog shows though. Why you might ask. The short list (according to the AKC Breed Standard - whatever that is) would include my ears ,"a little on the big side" , I have actually heard people say to my people "Wow those are some ears!" as if I couldn't hear them. Next my hair, I know that pin straight hair is the "in thing" for people, well it is also the "in thing" for Yorkies and my hair is not pin straight, not even close. I do try the straightening thing with special shampoos and sprays to no avail! Maybe I have a great great aunt dog that was a poodle somewhere along the line, you never can trust those pedigree papers anyway. Oh, did I mention curly is not the only problem, let's talk for a moment about color "yes there is a standard for color as well" and you thought it was easy being a dog! My hair is a lovely shade of silver with light tan. Perfect! Beautiful? Right? Wrong..My hair should be steel blue and dark tan. I guess I can blame that one on my parents or some great uncle somewhere. So you think it would stop there. Not Really. Did I mention my legs are a bit on the long side and so is my body...I guess life as a show dog is out of the question.. However, I am very loveable and that counts for a lot!
