Arrival Story: Hi, my name is Doc. My owners, George and Sue found me on Petfinder after Sue's GSD died. I had been at a rescue shelter for four months. My first owner called me Tank. He had bought me as a puppy but decided to give me up when I was only 1 year old. I was never abused and the shelter treated me well but I was very sad and lonely. I never barked or acted up, I was too sad.
When Sue first saw me she brought her beautiful girl-dog Shannon with her to meet me. Shannon didn't like me too well but I LOVED her right away! Sue decided that I should not stay at the shelter any longer and I went home with her that same day!
That night I met Sue and George's cat, Napoleon. Napoleon didn't expect to see me wagging my tail at the bedroom door but he sure ran fast when I tried to introduce myself. Cats just don't have a sense of humor. Anyway, we got to be really good friends.
Shannon learned to love me too, in her own very alpha female way. She still bosses me around but hey, she's really cute so I don't mind.
But Sue and George didn't like my original name, Tank. They thought about it for awhile and settled on Doc, because Sue had lost her GSD and Doc, or The Doctor, was just the cure she needed.

Bio: I'm the cool big dog of my family! GSD's rule!

Hello Pups,
I'm so excited! Mommy won a prize with a picture of ME. Roof! Yup, its that one of me in the backyard. She called in "Guardian at the Gate". 'Course that's what us GSD's do. So now my painting will be on greeting cards and maybe you will get one from your vet. If you do, be sure to howl it out to me!

It was evening. My pack leaders had finished their dinner and were engaged in some strange activity involving a TV like thingy at the desk. I was laying below the desk, my usual protective position, waiting to engage any violators who might disturb the family scene. Meanwhile, I noticed activity in the kitchen. Seems my little buddy, Monty, was eyeing the remaining chicken. The pack leaders did not notice. They were too engrossed in the thingy on the desk. They talked. They pointed. Monty struck. Carefully, oh so carefully, he raise himself to counter height. The chicken had been left on a plate close to the counter's edge. I watched him. He reached out a lip and took the first piece, then the next. He consumed it all the greedy little pig.
Later the pack leaders disengaged from the desk and returned to the kitchen only to discover...THE CHICKEN WAS MISSING!
But I cracked the case and from now on I will watch...and hopefully participate!
