Arrival Story:
I work at a pet supply store and one day when I was going to lunch, I passed by the shelter's table. They had a lot of cute dogs and cats there, but I wasn't planning on another dog, but then I saw this fluffy black and tan dog laying down in the corner. I petted him for a few minutes, went to lunch, and when I came back he saw me and his tail started going 100 miles an hour. The adoption counselor said he didn't really open up to people right away, but there he was, flopping over for a belly rub. I knew it was a sign, so the very next day on my day off, I took him home.
Bio:
Rocky's life before he came to us wasn't that rosy. After two years in a loving family, his previous people got a puppy and decided Rocky just didn't fit in anymore, so they surrendered him to the pound. He was adopted around Christmas 09, but they gave him back two weeks later because their other dog was a bully. They also accused him of being untrainable and too wild. I beg to differ on that one; I enrolled him in obedience training and he is doing phenomenally. He's a perfectly well-behaved little man....most of the time!
