Lucy is a Four Paws Rescue adoptable dog! Please give this sweet girl a chance!
Bio:
Lucy loves people and is very people friendly. She does jump on you to get closer to your face to kiss you, but can be trained out of that. She is a very sweet dog! Lucy needs to go to a home without other dogs as she is very alpha and bossy with them. We don't think she would do well with cats. Adults and teenagers would do best with Lucy. She is a little ball of energy - no couch potatoes here! Border Collie's need something to do. She will definitely need something to do and get adequate exercise, so she won't get bored and destructive. The ideal owner or family for Lucy would be someone who is experienced with herding breeds. They will also need to be active and like to hike and/or jog. Lucy is crate-trained, but will probably need to be house-trained as she's been at the shelter for a long time. House-training Lucy shouldn't take long because she is super smart and picks up on new things quickly! Lucy's adoption fee is $125 which includes her spay surgery and vaccinations. It says we are located in Syracuse, Utah which is not true. The volunteer who updates the pages on Dogster lives in Syracuse, but Four Paws is located in Logan. We show dogs by appointment or at adoption events at the Layton Petsmart only. We rescue dogs and cats from local kill shelters before they're going to be euthanized. We will also occasionally take in owner surrenders, but a majority of our animals come from kill shelters. We then place them into caring foster homes (if available) until they are adopted into forever homes. All Four Paws Rescue dogs will be up-to-date with shots (Rabies and Parvo/Distemper) and spayed/neutered before they are adopted.
